Citizen Service Number (BSN)

The Dutch Government decided to introduce a Citizen Service Number (BSN) for all citizens in the Netherlands.
This new number aims at improving the communication between the citizens and the Government and facilitating the exchange between government services. In the future, citizens will only have to supply the Government with their personal details once. The Citizen Service Number will not only affect citizens and the Government, but also businesses. Ineke Ruiter of IDManagement Centre is the programme manager responsible for the development and implementation of this Citizen Service Number.
