Ineke Ruiter’s views on ID Governance

In the leading article in the international Keesing Journal of Documents & Identity, Ineke Ruiter expresses her views on ID Governance. Globalization, open borders, changing lifestyles, communications and mobility are developments with consequences for identity management by governments. In her article ‘ID Governance: Complexity demands coordination’ Ineke Ruiter argues the case for establishing an ID Governance framework. This framework should be a transparent description of the roles which the various parties play in the Identity Infrastructure, but it should also give direction to coordination, harmonisation and the setting of priorities.
