ID.academy gives workshop to the Australian government

The Workshop “Synthetic Documents – Advancing Identity Security”, which was provided by ID.academy at the request of the Australian immigration service, was attended by all Australian forensic document experts. The workshop was given jointly by ID.academy and the “departamento de identificação e peritagem documental” of the Portugese Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras.
The Australian immigration service commissioned the workshop in order to deepen the knowledge of its document experts. Identity documents increasingly contain synthetic components. Currently, 60 per cent of all travel documents in Europe include synthetic pages containing data on the holder and issuer.
Many document experts do not have sufficient knowledge of synthetic documents. The Australian immigration service has remedied this in Australia by contracting the workshop. The participants unanimously agreed that the workshop considerably widened their knowledge, enabling them to enhance the quality of their examination of travel and identity documents.
