Ineke Ruiter
I have been with IDManagement Centre since its foundation and still very much enjoy working there. So many interesting things happen within the Government that throughout my career I have always been drawn to it, either as a civil servant or as an equally dedicated contractor.
In late 1986, when I was employed by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior for the Municipal Personal Records Database (GBA) project, I made my first acquaintance with what is currently referred to as identity management. From that moment, identity management has become the main thread throughout my career. I have derived great pleasure from carrying out commissions and at the same time expanding the activities in the area of identity management by involving people with a wide variety of expertise and experience in the IDManagement Centre’s field of activity.
Identity management is a fascinating subject: crucial to the effective combat against identity and financial fraud, but also essential to high-quality electronic service provision by the Government.
