Core group of experts on identity-related crime

The Office of Drugs and Crime of the United Nations has established a core group of experts in identity related crime. This core group is composed by representatives of the public sector, private sector, academia, international organizations and the Office of Drugs and Crime of the United Nations. This group aims at promoting, facilitating and galvanizing collaboration among the various stakeholders, as well as bringing in new players, in order to develop concerted actions against ID crime through:

• Raising awareness on the nature, scope and impact of ID crime;
• Identifying challenges and possible counter-actions; and
• Developing a comprehensive framework for cooperation to combat ID crime
