People travel and cross borders, making international harmonisation and legislation vital; interoperability and effective verifiability are important bases for the development of documents.
For instance, the liberalisation of the European Union member states allows free movement of persons and goods. Internal border controls have been lifted and identity verification is conducted in numerous places. These new processes call for effective solutions and lead to changes in the identity chain.
Registration is also an important aspect of the identity chain. Despite worldwide ratification of UN resolutions, a number of countries are still lax in their implementation of these resolutions. Unexpected political instability in countries or regions can necessitate either temporary or permanent support in the execution of a number of essential tasks in the identity chain.
IDManagement Centre is active in all these different areas, both within and outside the European Union. IDManagement Centre remains focused on its ultimate objective, which is to reliably execute the following tasks at a minimum of risk:
- population registration
- documents and personalisation
- security design
- biometrics
- application and issuing processes
- fraud control and security
- education and training
- project management
